What do I need to apply for Firstcard?

To apply for Firstcard, you must meet the requirements listed below:

  1. Be at least 18 years old
  2. Have a legal U.S. residential address
  3. A valid government-issued ID
  4. An SSN (If you don’t have an SSN, you’ll need to submit 1) a passport 2) a Visa or an ITIN)

Firstcard Application Checklist

To get started with your Firstcard application, make sure you have the following documents ready:

1. Valid Government-Issued ID

Please submit 1 of the following:

  • Driver’s License
  • State ID
  • Passport
  • Permanent Resident Card

Only original, valid, unexpired Government-Issued ID will be accepted. Copy or photo of your ID or expired ID will not be accepted.

2. Proof of U.S. Residential Address

Please submit 1 of the following:

  • Letter from your University with your address and name on it
  • Utility Bill dated within 30 days
  • A valid Driver’s License with the same address you provided
  • Credit card statement dated within 30 days
  • Bank statement dated within 30 days
  • Valid lease agreement showing your full name, current address, lease term, and signatures of both parties

3. Social Security Number (SSN)

  • International Applicants Without an SSN: If you do not have a Social Security Number, our customer support team will contact you via email within 1–3 business days to request the following three documents for identity verification:
    • Passport
    • US Visa or ITIN. For users that apply with ITIN, please submit an ITIN Certificate or a tax document with your ITIN for approval.
    • Proof of U.S. Residential Address
